Earth Hour

The cities of Eurasia will join the “Earth Hour” action on March 30, 2019 at 20:30. “Earth Hour” is a worldwide movement organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). The event is held annually encouraging individuals, communities, and businesses to turn off non-essential electric lights for one hour on, as a symbol of commitment to the planet.

It is expected that municipal institutions will take part in the action this year and will turn off the illumination of their facilities and the power supply of devices for one hour.

Every year, “Earth Hour” takes place in more than 120 cities of Eurasia. In 2018, 188 countries and more than 2 billion people joint the action.
