Eurasia Regional Section of the World organization "United Cities and Local Governments"
On August 20-23, 2019, the International Conference of Latin America Local Governments was held in the city of San Juan (Puerto Rico).
The event took place thanks to efforts of the Global Advisor Group, through a strategic alliance with the Association and Federation of Mayors of Puerto Rico and FLACMA (Latin American Federation of Cities, Municipalities and Municipal Associations).
Annually, the mayors of Latin America, the United States and Puerto Rico come together in order to promote educational and cultural platforms.
In the previous editions, the conference was devoted to decentralization, tourism, economic development and technology. This year, the topics will revolve around gender equity and best practices in local governments
The UCLG-Eurasia was represented by Secretary General Rasikh Sagitov and Vice-Mayor of Kazan Evgeniia Lodvigova. During his visit, Rasikh Sagitov made a report on the current activities of the Eurasia Regional Section and the foregoing projects.
