Eurasia Regional Section of the World organization "United Cities and Local Governments"
The Secretariat of UCLG-Eurasia headed by Secretary General Rasikh Sagitov visited Bolgar.
On September 10, 2020, during the meeting with the head of the Spassky municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan and Mayor of Bolgar Fargat Mukhametov an honorary diploma was awarded to the winner of the Rating of Cities International Activity. As a reminder, Bolgar ranked second among small towns in the Rating.
Besides, the parties discussed the further participation of the Spassky municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan in the activities of UCLG-Eurasia and the implementation of joint projects.
Apart from the official program, the Secretariat visited the Bulgarian State Historical and Architectural Museum-Reserve, examined the UNESCO World Heritage Sites and the White Mosque.
