The outcomes of the contest “Heritage of Eurasia Through Children’s Eyes – 2020” dedicated to the topic of national costumes of Peoples of Eurasia were defined. Over 800 children between the age of 5 and 14 years from Armenia, Belarus, Germany, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine took part in this contest. The competition was held from March 16, 2020, to June 15, 2020.

The contest aimed at fostering careful attitude to heritage among children, promoting national costumes of peoples of Eurasia and increasing knowledge of the younger generation about their historical roots, ethnocultural values, traditions of the nations that are reflected in national costumes, their ornaments and colors.

On June 30, 2020, the competition commission that included teachers of art schools and experts in the field of heritage preservation defined winners. Prize-winners of the contest will receive a diploma of the winner and a gift card, diploma winners will be granted diplomas, and other participants will be awarded certificates for participation in the contest. The list of prize and diploma winners is presented below. Diplomas and certificates will be distributed during July.

Winners in the age category 5-8 years:

1st place – Darya Cherepukhina, 8 years (Tambov, Russia)

2nd place – Ulyana Kopytova, 7 years (Kudymkar, Russia)

Title of the work: “National Costume of the Komi-Permiaks”

3rd place – Amir Akhmedov, 8 years (Kazan, Russia)

Title of the work: “Sunny Andijan”

 

Winners in the age category 9-11 years:

1st place – Ksenia Khatuntseva, 10 years (Voronezh, Russia)

Title of the work: “Georgia in Autumn”

2nd place – Viktoria Minasyan, 9 years (Stavropol, Russia)

Title of the work: “Armenia”

3rd place – Ksenia Soloveva, 9 years (Krasnodar, Russia)

Title of the work: “Kuban Cossack Man and Woman”

 

Winners in the age category 12-14 years:

1st place – Elizaveta Pedanova, 13 years (Krasnodar, Russia)

Title of the work: “Kazakh National Costumes”

2nd place – Anastasia Yakusheva, 12 years (Gorlovka, DPR, Ukraine)

Title of the work: “Russian Beauty”

3rd place – Sofia Limina, 14 years (Izhevsk, Russia)

Title of the work: “Preparations for the Celebration”
