Rasikh Sagitov Met with the Head of Neftekamsk

On Friday, December 16, Rasikh Sagitov, Secretary General of the Eurasia Regional Section of UCLG, visited Neftekamsk where he met with Eldar Validov, the head of the city.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the participation of Neftekamsk in UCLG's activities and the work plan for 2023. Both parties noted the positive dynamics of relations, expressed their intention to further strengthen ones.

Note: Neftekamsk has been a member of Eurasian section of UCLG since 2020. The city was founded in 1963 and initially grew from a working settlement of oilmen. Located in the northwest of Bashkiria, it is the fourth largest city in the republic in population terms. The name itself well reflects its specialization - a large industrial center. The trademark of Neftekamsk is the Neftekamsk Automotive Plant (NEFAZ). The special economic zone "Alga" was created in Neftekamsk in order to ensure economic sustainability.

In 2023 Neftekamsk will celebrate its 60th anniversary. Despite the young age, the city is dynamically developing and is one of the leaders of Bashkortostan in demographic growth.
