At the end of May 2022, a free learning program for female residents of the Republic kicked off in Kazan, Almetyevsk and Naberezhnye Chelny. This course will last seven weeks. Within this period, participants will attend 9 classes both in online and offline formats, go on a business tour around the garment factory and have business breakfast.
As part of this training, future businesswomen will develop a step-by-step plan on launching a business, study legal aspects and basics of financial literacy, and learn efficient sale. Graduating students will obtain state-recognized diplomas in completion of the program on basics of entrepreneurship.
Last year 150 women participated in this training program; 20 of them made new business projects, as reported by the Press Office of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan.
This project is a contribution to SDG 8: “Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all”, namely target 8.5 “By 2030, achieve full and productive employment and decent work for all women and men, including for young people and persons with disabilities, and equal pay for work of equal value”.
