“Children of Asia” will Come to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk

The First Winter International Sports Games “Children of Asia” will take place in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. From 9 to 16 Febrary, 2019, the sportsmen from 23 countries will take part in the competition. It is expected that more than 1500 sportsmen will visit the Sakhalin.

The participants will come from Vietnam, Indonesia, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Cambodia, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Republic of Korea, United Arabic Emirates, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, Philippines, Japan and the other countries. 

In the frameworks of the Games 8 kind of sports will be presented, such as figure skating, hockey, short track, mountain skiing, snowboarding, biathlon, ski race and ski flying. 

In 2016, according to the initiative of the Ex-Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Yegor Borisov, the International Committee decided to hold the First Winter International Sports Games “Children of Asia”. The main contender for the competition was Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
