Days of Culture of the Yaroslavl region in Dagestan

Days of Culture of the Yaroslavl region held in the Republic of Dagestan on September 25-27. Delegation headed by the Deputy Governor Alexander Gribov arrived from Yaroslavl region.

In Makhachkala, Yaroslavl delegation took part in flowers laying ceremony to the monuments of the liberator soldier and outstanding Dagestan poet Rasul Gamzatov, visited the republic House of Friendship, infrastructural facilities.

During the visit, it was held a meeting with the acting head of the administration of the city of Makhachkala Magomed Suleimanov.

Welcoming the guests, Magomed Suleymanov noted that the Days of Culture of the Yaroslavl region in the Republic of Dagestan – a momentous event in the social life of the capital and throughout the country. He expressed confidence that the meeting will be another demonstration of the unity and solidarity of the peoples of Russia, will contribute to the development of fraternal friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Makhachkala and Yaroslavl, will strengthen the mutual understanding and harmony in the society.

In turn, the deputy governor of the Yaroslavl region, Alexander Gribov thanked Mayor of Makhachkala for the warm welcome. “There is a long time cooperation agreement with the Republic of Dagestan and the administration of the city of Makhachkala, it includes a wide range of issues and linked to cultural, trade and economic interaction. We intend to continue to develop partnerships”, – he said.

The delegation of Yaroslavl region also visited Derbent and Izberbash. During the visit to Derbent guests met with the head of the city Imam Yaraliev, examined the pearl of the Caucasus – a fortress Naryn-Kala, and visited one of the leading enterprises of the city – Derbent cognac plant.

Commercial and industrial turnover between the Republic of Dagestan and Yaroslavl region is about 500-550 million rubles. Region regularly delivers to republic construction materials and spare parts for the automotive and tractor equipment, manufactured by JSC “Russian dyes”, OAO “Yaroslavl dyes”, JSC “Russian motors”, JSC TD “Yaroslavsky coloring” and others. Yaroslavl region receives vegetables, fruit, wild facing stone from Dagestan. Traditionally, Derbent products from Kizlyar Cognac Plant, Derbent factory of sparkling wines are quite popular in the Yaroslavl market.
