Way to temple. Images of Irkutsk

“Way to Temple. The images of Irkutsk” the open air exhibition took place in Irkutsk. The organizers of the exhibition are the managers of “The heritage of Irkutsk patrons” project, the Museum of Irkutsk history, “Designmaster”, and the Administration of Irkutsk city.

The project “The way to Temple” was presented on 17 May 2011 at the State Historical Museum in Moscow at the research and practice conference dedicated to Irkutsk’s 350th anniversary.

According to project organizers, its major idea is the revival of the spiritual, historical and cultural heritage of Irkutsk, being all times support of the society’s alliance and development.

The exhibition is comprised of two theme blocks: “The way to Temple” and the “Images of Irkutsk”. The former refers to the existing confessions in city, while the latter reflects the images of the Irkutsk citizens throughout centuries retrospective.

The representatives of authorities, of the clergy, culture figures and creative teams are invited to the exhibition.
