Personnel changes in the cities of UCLG

The head of Almetevsk municipal region Rishat Abubakirov prematurely resigned as delegate of the city council and the head of the region in connection with his election as a deputy of the State Council of the Russian Federation. The deputies of the region and the City Council thanked Rishat Abubakirov for fruitful long-term work for the benefit of the inhabitants.

The head of Mendeleevsk region Tagir Harmatullin voluntarily resigned.

The mayor of Ulyanovsk Alexander Pinkov voluntarily resigned. Alexander Oinkov was the last populary elected mayor of Ulyanovsk. Marina Bespalova was elected as the head of the city of Ulyanovsk.

The deputies of the Omsk City Council approved on Wednesday the resignation of Mayor Victor Shreider, who goes to work to the State Duma. Acting Mayor until next elections will be Tatiana Vizhevitova.

Mayor of Krasnoyarsk Petr Pimashkov who successfully governed the city for 15 years, resigned at his own rquest. He will go to a new position in the State Duma. Edkham Akbulatov has been appointed the acting Mayor of Krasnoyarsk.

Mayor of Yakuts Yuri Zabolev prematurely resigned in connection with the signing of the decree on his appointment as first deputy representative of Yakutia under the president of Russian Federation. First Vice-premier of Yakutia Aisen Nikolayev has already said his intention to run for mayor of Yakutsk in elections in March 2012.
