Over 18,000 people from 65 countries took part in the International Forum Kazan Digital Week 2022 held from 21 to 24 September in the International Exhibition Center “Kazan Expo”. They joined the programme online and offline. A total of 120 events dedicated to digitalization in all spheres of life – from cybersecurity to agriculture and culture – were organized.
Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin reminded that the Forum’s programme included a specialized segment to share practices between municipalities. “We have presented our projects, but more importantly – we have listened to the experience of other cities, not only Russian, but foreign as well”, the Mayor pointed out. Participants of the mayors’ round table discussed the application of technologies in managing personnel, as well as in budgetary and financial work and anti-corruption activities.
For instance, the programme of digital transformation of state and municipal management generated great interest among the participants. The way to establish more efficient communication with citizens and to form the information infrastructure comfortable for users was discussed by experts at the session “VKontakte State”.
The replication of experience and use of new digital products are the primary targets of Kazan Digital Week. This year, the Forum’s participants have discussed the topics of exchange trade in identified valid products, determined trends in venture investments and development of the GameDev- industry. In the run-up to the Games of the Future to be hosted by Kazan in 2024, the Figital Games took place in the test mode.

For the first time at Kazan Digital Week, the exhibition of digital projects being implemented took place. The honorary guests of the event were President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation Maxim Parshin and Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Anatoly Aksakov.
