Magas Celebrated the 1075th Anniversary!

On April 15 the capital of Ingushetia the city of Magas celebrated the City Day. Secretary General of UCLG-Eurasia Rasikh Sagitov and delegations from the cities of Simferopol, Ulyanovsk, Makhachkala, Pyatigorsk, Rostov-on-Don, Grozny and Pskov arrived to congratulate Magas celebrating the 1075^th anniversary.

Mayor of Magas Mr.Beslan Tsechoev presented the development of the social and economic infrastructure of the city. Guests shared their impressions and highlighted that they were pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the city, harmonious combination of historic and modern sites, they were especially impressed by innovative projects implemented during the last years.

On the City Day from morning till late evening concerts, theatrical performances, workshops, exhibitions of famous artists and craftsmen took place on the Alaniya Square in Magas. Games with facilitators, attractions, show of living statues and many other entertainment programs were organized for children. Archery tournament, motor rally, open chess tournament, judo and arm wrestling competitions took place during the celebrations.

Mr.Rasikh Sagitov highlighted that the city of Magas pays great attention to social projects and ecology. It is clean in the city and toys receiving containers, bookcrossing sites, used batteries and lamps receiving containers are installed everywhere.

The event was followed by a holiday gift for citizens and guests of the capital from Stavropol friends who presented fire show, as well as by colorful fireworks.
