Mayor of Bishkek Met with UK Ambassador

Mayor of Bishkek Aybek Dzhunushaliyev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Great Britain to the Kyrgyz Republic Charles Garrett in the metropolitan municipality.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of bilateral relations in various areas, including environmental issues of the city and ways to resolve them.

The Ambassador also informed that the 26th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change will be held in Glasgow (Scotland) from October 31 to November 12.

The parties discussed the possibility of organizing a bike ride in honor of the mentioned event and thus attract public attention to environmental issues and climate change.

The Mayor of Bishkek thanked the Ambassador for the visit and expressed willingness for cooperation.
