THE MAYOR'S OFFICE OF THE CITY OF OSH AND ANDIJAN REGION WILL INCREASE COOPERATION IN THE SPHERE OF TOURISM

Pursuant to paragraph 2.4 of the Roadmap on further collaboration reinforcement between the city of Osh, the Republic of Kyrgyzstan and Andijan region of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2022-2023 the delegation of the city of Osh headed by the First Vice Mayor Mars Isaev paid a visit to Andijan region.
During the meeting between the First Vice Mayor Mars Isaev and the Deputy Governor of Andijan region Azizkhon Maksumov a Memorandum of Cooperation in the sphere of tourism was signed between the Mayor's Office of the city of Osh and the Directorate General for Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
After signing the Memorandum, the representatives of tour operators of Osh presented the tourist products of their companies. Representatives of Andijan region travel agencies spoke at the round table as well, expressed the local tourists’ interest in visiting Osh and drew attention to some of the issues that arise when proceeding through the Dostuk checkpoint. Then representatives of the tour operators of the cities discussed the issues of further cooperation development, following the results of which 7 cooperation contracts were signed.
