A waste processing complex will be built in Perm

The head of Perm, Alexey Demkin, said that the new waste processing complex will include a sorting station and a platform for membrane composting of organic waste.

- At the same time, sources of financing are being searched, since more than 2 billion rubles will be needed for construction – too much for the city budget. Various options are being considered – the search for a concessionaire, various types of lending, " Alexey Demkin explained.

Recall that in accordance with the national project "Ecology", initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, in 2025, 100% of the generated solid municipal waste should be sent for disposal, after processing (sorting). This indicator can be achieved only through the construction of a waste recycling complex. Accordingly, the Perm administration sets plans for the construction of this facility by the end of 2024.

The capacity of the waste reception station should be 300 thousand tons per year, the site-120 thousand tons per year. Here it is planned to sort paper, cardboard, glass, various types of plastic – everything that will be recycled.

More than two thousand unauthorized landfills were liquidated in Astrakhan

In Astrakhan, employees of the municipal enterprise "Clean City" are eliminating landfills on a daily basis and in several shifts.

Taking into account the Astrakhan climate, namely the wind and extreme heat, reaching 50 degrees Celsius, such unauthorized accumulations of garbage are a dangerous place, as they can cause a fire. In addition, they emit a sharp smell of rotting, which creates inconvenience for residents of neighboring houses.

Since the beginning of the year, 2,234 unauthorized landfills have been liquidated in Astrakhan and more than 10 thousand tons of garbage have been removed. For this purpose, more than 260 workers are involved daily.

The amount of chemicals in this wetland facility is several times higher than the maximum standards. To eliminate the negative impact on human health, cleaning and dredging works will be carried out. Thus, the swampy place will become a purified reservoir and will be a park area.

The adjacent part of the wetland facility will be developed. Social facilities will be located there: residential buildings, an educational institution for almost 2.5 thousand students, a kindergarten, a medical center, etc.
