Nizhnekamsk and Meishan have Become Twinned Towns

On 11-12 April, 2019 the agreement on the establishment of the sister city relations was signed between Nizhnekamsk and Meishan in the framework of the international investment forum. The document was signed by Aidar Metshin, Mayor of Nizhnekamsk, and Cao Hui, Vice-Mayor of the People’s Government of the city of Meishan.

Meishan and Nizhnekamsk started to cooperate at the end of 2017, and now the relations between two cities will be developing actively. Among the possible joint projects are involvement of residents in industrial parks, exchange of experience in the petrochemical industry, development of agriculture, holding the Games of students of Meishan and Nizhnekamsk, etc.

“We are aimed at deepening of our cooperation, and I think that for all of us these are new opportunities”, - said Aidar Metshin, summing up the meeting.
