Online Survey On the Life In Metropolises

The UN Sustainable Development Group and Basel Institute of Public Opinion and Economics invite citizens to take part in the survey to measure the level of social benefits and social capital.

Due to anonymous opinion polls, this project identifies such social values as credit, solidarity, desire to help, friendliness, hospitality and willingness to finance public goods. Surveys were launched in 2016, and to date 30 000 people from 141 countries have taken part in the World Social Capital Monitoring. Software for the social capital monitoring has been developed by scientists from Basel Institute of Public Opinion and Economics and the Technical University of Munich.

It is expected that results received will allow to take a fresh look at the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and will become alternative to traditional indices such as the human development index as they take into account intangible assets.
