THE CHAIRMAN OF UN WORKING GROUP MADE A WORKING VISIT TO OSH

On April 12 a meeting between Venera Ryskulova, the Vice Mayor of the city of Osh and Melissa Upreti, the chairman of UN working group on discrimination against women and girls was held in Osh.
The situation of women in the modern world along with the measures and attempts at various levels of government to insure legal protection of the rights and interests of women and girls were discussed by the parties during the meeting.
Following the results of the meeting, confidence in promotion of bilateral cooperation in the field of women’s rights protection as equal representatives of the modern society was expressed.
The meeting was attended by officials of the Mayor's Office of Dzhalal-Abad and representatives of territorial administration Office for Social Development of the cities of Osh and Dzhalal-Abad as well.
