Rostov-on-Don is the best municipality in the management of public finances

Award ceremony of the V Russian national competition “The best municipality in the management of public finances” was held in Moscow at the conference on “The problems of fiscal and tax policies of municipalities in the present conditions”.

The competition organized by the “Budget” magazine in cooperation with the Community of Russian financiers and with the support of the Federation Council was based on the analysis of work of municipalities in 2011. 129 packages of documents from the municipalities of 53 subjects of the Russian Federation were presented for participation.

The Competition Commission, which included representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the relevant committees of the Federation Council and State Duma, evaluated such aspects as quality of municipal budget planning, strengthening of its own revenue base budgets, increase of cost efficiency, provision of municipal services, debt management.

As a result, the Administration of Rostov-on-Don was awarded the diploma of III degree.
