Many cities, organizations and project promoters that are currently looking for investors for (early-stage) infrastructure projects will have a unique opportunity to find them.

Global Infrastructure Basel (GIB) – a Swiss foundation – is offering infrastructure project promoters the unique opportunity to present their projects to potential investors at the 5th Global Infrastructure Basel Summit on 27-28 May, 2015. The Global Infrastructure Basel Investment Forum takes place at the Global Infrastructure Basel Summit in Basel. Additionally, all submitted projects will be uploaded to the GIB Project Finder database.

Cities, organizations and project promoters seeking finance are invited to submit their project applications. Selected projects will be afforded the opportunity to deliver a summary presentation to the GIB Investment Forum attendees, and printed details of their proposals will be made available to all attendees at the conference. There will also be possibilities for one-on-one meetings with investors.

Global Infrastructure Basel Foundation is the globally leading platform for sustainable infrastructure investment and finance. GIB has been active since 2008 and organised its first events on Carbon Finance for Urban Infrastructure in 2009. In 2011 GIB hosted its first Summit (formerly known as the Global Energy Basel (GEB) Summit) which has been repeated annually. The 4th GIB Summit, which was held in Basel in 2014, focused on “Mainstreaming Sustainability in Infrastructure Financing”. Besides organising the annual Summits, GIB grades projects in terms of their sustainability with the GIB Grading Tool, conducts Capacity Building Events to increase skills and know-how of project owners in sustainable infrastructure finance, links sustainable infrastructure projects with investors, and performs transaction advisory for project owners and investors.

GIB is an independent, not-for-profit foundation under Swiss law supported by the Swiss Government, the City of Basel and many other partners.
