Столица Республики Башкортостан вошла в топ-5 самых зеленых городов России

Ufa has been among the top five leading cities with a population of more than 1 million people by the share of forests and parks. The study has been conducted by the analytical company Marketing Logic on the basis of geo-information data. Thus, the capital of Bashkortostan confirms its status as one of the greenest cities in Russia.

The rating took into account the area of green spaces in cities, including parks, public gardens, national parks, forests and gardens. With a rate of 39 percent, Ufa has ranked third, behind only Perm (56%) and Krasnodar (46%).

Let us recall that in terms of further improvement and landscaping of the city, Mayor of Ufa Ratmir Mavliev as a priority task indicated the transition from planting annual flowers and plants to perennial ones, planting more bushes and trees, creating new alleys and expanding existing ones. In addition, the municipality is working on the restoration of the green framework of the historic city centre. The tree-planting sites will be determined by available corridors, taking into account utilities. It is also planned to continue comprehensive landscaping in the areas where road repairs are carried out.
