At the end of September 2020, the QazUrban City Development Association was established in Kazakhstan. This non-profit organization brings together activists, volunteers and all stakeholders to draw attention to the issues of urbanization and a comfortable urban environment.
The QazUrban Association is an advisory body. It is planned to organize round tables, hold debates and bring to the table issues of citizens’ concern. The organization provides recommendations to state bodies, conducts research and implements volunteer projects. Any interested person can become a member of the association or a volunteer.
Representatives of QazUrban participate in the work of the Committee for Construction, Housing and Public Utilities of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken".
It is expected that the establishment of the association will lead to a constructive dialogue and partnership between governments and civil society.
