On 25-26 October, 2018, the largest event in the field of volunteering and social innovations took place in the city of Perm – the Perm International Forum of Volunteers.
The forum was attended by over 1000 representatives of non-profit organizations, social enterprises, large corporations, authorities, public opinion leaders and experts from 16 countries. The event presented the best practices and technologies of social transformation: projects in the field of volunteering as a platform for intercultural communication, unique inclusive programs, effective examples of innovative volunteering and methodology of training for professional volunteers.
Within the framework of the forum, the culture preserving project was presented by the Department on Culture and Youth Policy of the Perm Administration. The aim of the project is to form youth volunteering groups in each city district. The project includes also city tours, lectures and workshops from the leading historians, cultural scientists, educators, lawyers and artists.
The young volunteers will be provided with food and busses to the locations of monuments. It is planned to involve high school students, university students, young representatives of creative professions, artists, sculptors, etc.
