Yesterday, on December 1, 2020, the first flight from Nur-Sultan landed at Hazret Sultan Airport in Turkestan (Kazakhstan).
The crew and first passengers were greeted by Mayor of Turkestan Rashid Ayupov.
At the first stage, flights to Nur-Sultan and Almaty will be operated from the Turkestan airport. Among foreign cities, it is planned first of all to open flights to Istanbul and Dubai, then to Moscow, Tashkent, Bishkek, etc.
The capacity of the air harbour is 450 passengers per hour, or 3 million per year. The airport was officially opened on September 28, 2020.
