A roundtable of the Association of Deputies of Maslikhats of Kazakhstan was held in Turkestan

Turkestan hosted a meeting of Central Council of the Republican Public Association “Deputies Association of Kazakhstan Maslikhats”.

The meeting was attended by the akim of Turkestan Region Umirzak Shukeev, maslikhats secretaries of other regions and the cities of Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Shymkent, deputies, maslikhats secretaries of the cities and districts of Turkestan region.

The meeting was focused on the realisation of the RK President Kasym-Zhomart Tokaev’s message to the people of Kazakhstan “New Kazakhstan: a way to renewal and modernisation”.

The meeting was presided by the Chairman of the Republican Public Association “Deputies Association of Kazakhstan Maslikhats” Toleubek Mukashev. Turkestan Region akim Umirzak Shukeev noted, that the head of the state pays special attention to Turkestan Region. Turkestan develops as a centre of unity and peace, and its experience in strengthening the unity of the country was commended.

The head of the region in his speech also dwelt on the message priority areas and introduced participants to the works on the region development.

For over three years Turkestan Region has been successfully developing. Its gross regional product has increased by more than 2.5 times. An oil refinery and other large-scale projects are being built in the region. The production has been increased with agricultural diversification, and introduction of new technologies of the sprinkler and drip irrigation. There is a target set to create about 40 thousands jobs annually, and it is being achieved. Construction area has achieved an unprecedented level. More than 700 thousand square meters of housing were commissioned last year. In Turkestan alone around 15 thousand flats were built and the infrastructure for 100 thousand people was created. 90% of houses in Turkestan were gasified. The ecology has been improved. Canals are being concreted and new reservoirs are being commissioned. There is a hope that these projects will improve Turkestan ecological situation and transform it into a green city. Work in all directions will be continued. All that is a result of the country unity, and the local executive body and maslikhats joint work”, - Shukeev said, exchanging views with the maslikhats secretaries and analysing the directions of the message.

At the meeting in the Congress Hall, Turkestan Regional Maslikhat secretary Kayrat Balabiev, the responsible secretary of Turkestan regional branch of the AMANAT party Beisen Tazhibaev and guests of the city – the secretaries of the regional maslikhats also took the floor. Besides, the secretaries and the deputies of the country maslikhats noted positive transformations happened in Turkestan and Turkestan Region.
