119 Countries Took Part in the Security Forum in Ufa

Representatives of 119 countries arrived in Ufa to take part in X international meeting of high-security officials on June 17-20, 2019. Amongst the participants were the delegates from Europe, America, Africa, Middle East, Southeast Asia and other regions of the world. The number of foreign participants increases every year.

During the forum that was held under the auspices of the Russian Security Council issues of global and regional security were discussed. The solutions of these issues require the coordinated efforts of the entire international community.

“The international meetings of high-security officials, which are held annually in Russia, have proven their relevance and effectiveness in countering global challenges”, - Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, noticed in his greetings.

The agenda of the forum was focused on the fight against hybrid and terrorist threats, overcoming the consequences of armed conflicts and humanitarian disasters, ensuring information security.

Such multilateral meetings are held annually under the initiative of the Security Council of the Russian Federation in one of the Russian cities. The previous meetings took place in Yekaterinburg, St. Petersburg, Vladivostok, Kazan, Ulan-Ude, Grozny, Sochi, etc. Last year, three delegations from different units of the United Nations and representatives from 118 countries took part in the conference in Sochi.
