Eurasia Regional Section of the World organization "United Cities and Local Governments"
The final of the VI national championship «Young Professionals» (WorldSkills Russia) took place in the city of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. The world championship of working professions is held every two years, and the next world competition will take place in Kazan, Russia, in 2019.
The Moscow team took the first place with a score of 345 points, the second was the Republic Tatarstan team (228 points), the third was the Moscow region team (107 points).
In total, more than 3,500 people from all the Russian regions took part in the event. Two competition platforms were built in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk within 9 months to host the world event. All the created infrastructure will become an educational heritage and will serve the colleges of the Sakhalin region after the competition.
The best participants of the championship are invited to take internships abroad, particularly at the Samsung Electronics company in South Korea.
