Eurasia Regional Section of the World organization "United Cities and Local Governments"
The United Nations has designated every 31st October as the World Cities Day. Although the celebrations take place around the world, every year there is one city that becomes the main venue of the event. In 2019, World Cities Day will take place in Yekaterinburg, UCLG-Eurasia member.
A large-scale event will be held within the framework of the international forum “100+ Forum Russia” in Yekaterinburg from October 29 to November 1. Mayors of cities from all over the world will take part in the event.
The theme of the Forum is “City of the Future”. The agenda will cover the issues of digitalization and construction of “smart”, green and comfortable cities, growing not only upwards and in breadth, but also developing underground and even underwater space.
