UN-Habitat has Visited Yakutsk

In the beginning of this year, Sardana Avksentieva, Mayor of Yakutsk, met with a delegation of UN-Habitat. During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues related to the implementation of the City Resilience Profiling Programme of Yakutsk which was signed in 2017.  

“The city of Yakutsk is a large city on the permafrost. All the risks and threats that are considered as part of the Program development are fully presented in our city, and we are interested in its early development”, - said Sardana Avksentieva.

Yakutsk has become the first partner city in the UN-Habitat City Resilience Profiling Programme in Eurasia.
