R.Sagitov at the Celebration of Cheboksary’s Anniversary

R.Sagitov, Secretary General of UCLG-Eurasia, took part in the festive events dedicated to the 555th anniversary of the city of Cheboksary. He made a welcoming speech, reading out the address by Ilsur Metshin, President of UCLG-Eurasia and Mayor of Kazan.

In addition, Rasikh Sagitov met with Evgeny Kadyshev, Chairman of the Cheboksary City Assembly of Deputies, and Vladimir Dobrokhotov, Mayor of Cheboksary. The parties discussed issues related to the development of cooperation within the framework of UCLG-Eurasia’s activities and upcoming events.

The City Day was filled with a number of impressive events. The program included a sailing regatta in the waters of the Volga River, an air show of the aerobatic team “Strizhi”, concerts by famous artists and performers. The guests of the city were delighted and noted the large-scale nature of the Cheboksary anniversary.
