Aysen Nikolayev Met with Kassym-Jomart Tokayev

Aysen Nikolayev, Head of Yakutia, met with Kassym-Jomart Tokaev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The meeting was held on September 8 as part of the business visit of the Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) to Astana.

At the meeting, held at the Akorda Residence, the leaders discussed key areas of strengthening interregional cooperation and expanding bilateral ties.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that comprehensive development of cooperation between the regions is an integral part of the strategic partnership and allied relations between Kazakhstan and Russia. Aysen Nikolayev, in turn, emphasized the importance of expanding contacts between Yakutia and Kazakhstan and expressed readiness to work together in priority sectors.

Let us recall that at one of the previous meetings Aysen Nikolayev and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev agreed on the Days of Yakutia in Kazakhstan held this spring.
