Krasnoyarsk Is One of the Most Convenient Cities for Travelers with Disabilities

Such are the results of the study based on the data about the tourist places availability presented in the “Koroche” guidebook of the service for purchasing air tickets Aviasales. It contains 59% of available locations in Krasnoyarsk, which is 23% higher than the average figure.

The list of such locations includes sights of cultural and ecological tourism, places for photo shoots and restaurants. Their accessibility has been checked according to the methodology of the Center for Strategic Research. The experts have analyzed whether these places have specialized parking spaces, navigation, restrooms, accompanying staff, as well as audio and video guides for people with hearing and visual impairments. Specialists from the Administration of Krasnoyarsk and representatives of local businesses helped the service team to collect content for “Koroche”.

In total, according to the Rosstat estimates for 2023, there were almost 11 million people with disabilities in Russia. At the same time, only 29% of them made a tourist trip in the last 12 months.
