Far Eastern Congress of Tatars.

The Council of the Eurasian section of UCLG on the 29th of  October 2011 decided to include to membership of the Eurasian Section of  UCLG a non-profit organization "Far Eastern Congress of Tatars" on 29th of  October 2011.

The «Far East Congress of Tatars» was created in the wake of the revival of the Tatar culture in 2009. , The"Far Eastern Congress of Tatars", combines the social organizations and cultural centers of tatar cities of Primorye, Sakhalin, Magadan, Kamchatka and Khabarovsky area.

Activities of the organization is based on the work in the field of culture, education and sports.

"Far Eastern Congress of Tatars" initiates various social projects. The most striking achievement of the "Far Eastern Congress of Tatars" was not only  formation of the organization, but  introduction of undoubted contribution to the spiritual life of the Far East also.

Over the years, "Far Eastern Congress of Tatars" has established a strong and healthy social relationships with ethnic communities and diasporas in the region. The experience of other ethnic and religious groups to preserve their identity is being carefully  studied by us. Joint activities are being held.

Saving people, conservation area are main problems of Tatar community of the Far East.

The organization is young by historical standards but nevertheless is very significant in itself. It indicates that such associations are born by life itself not by orders from above, that they are not  balloons, which  easily burst from the first gust of wind. These are powerful branches of the centuries-old tree whose name of native people.

The purpose of the entry  of Far East Congress of Tatars to the Eurasian Regional Section of the World Organization "United Cities and Local Governments" is safeguarding of intangible heritage of the Tatars of the Far East, ensuring equality of races and sexes, the struggle against all forms of unlawful discrimination, the preservation of peace among nations.
