Working meetings in the Donbass cities

On 28-29 of August within the celebration of Miners’ Day Secretary General of UCLG-Eurasia Rasikh Sagitov met with the mayors of the Donbass cities. At the meeting with the Mayor of Donetsk Aleksandr Lukyanchenko there were discussed problems of the participation of Donetsk in the projects of the World Organization UCLG, particularly nomination of Donetsk for the “Sucsessful Ecology in Industrial City” UN Award.
The working meetings were also held with the Mayor of Ugledar, Alim Shirinsky, and the Mayor of Dzerzhinsk, Vladimir Sleptsov, in the framework of the visit program.
The Donbass Cities Miners’ Association is a member of the Euro-Asia Section since 2007.
