Meeting of World Council of UCLG.

Delegation, including 30 mayors and representatives of Russian Cities and countries of Euro-Asia took part in the work of UCLG World Council in capital of China 8-10 June 2005.
Main topics of the World Council Meeting were the strengtening of Organisation and local governments in general, participation of cities and local governments in making the United Nations? Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) a reality
On the World Cities Forum, dedicated to UCLG world council meeting, KNR deputy president made speech.
The members of the World Council from the  UCLG Euro-Asia - L.Gil'chenko, G.Pimashkov, V.Lobko, D.Kuz'min, V.Shershunov, F.Sidorenko, A.Saltykov, M.Chernyshev took part in the work of the Forum.
UCLG Euro-Asia Secretary General R.Sagitov reported information about work of the Regional Section on the Meeting.
