Almetyevsk and Volgograd Continue to Introduce Electric Buses

Timur Nagumanov, Mayor of Almetyevsk, has presented electric buses, a new type of public transportation in the city. Three electric buses have been leased to the Almetyevsk Transportation Department, and they are already undergoing the procedure of running-in before usage. The salon of electric buses is designed for 70 seats and provides maximum comfort for passengers. The electric buses will be put into usage in the near future and will operate in a test mode.

A new test version of the electric bus route has also appeared in Volgograd. Each unit of electric transport accommodates at least 85 passengers and develops speed up to 70 kilometers per hour. The range of the new vehicles with a full charge of batteries is at least 80 kilometers of travel. The buses are equipped with ramps for low-mobility categories of citizens and passengers with baby carriages. USB-connectors for charging mobile gadgets during a trip are at the service of passengers. The new transport is beforehand equipped with terminals for non-conductor fare payment.
