Astana Is One of the Most Intelligent Cities in the World

Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, was included in the TOP-21 most intelligent cities “Smart21 community of 2023” according to the research organization Intelligent Community Forum.

As the municipality of Astana reports, each of the presented cities, settlements or regions applied six principles for building an inclusive society, economic prosperity, social health and cultural richness that together make the community strong and sustainable.

In addition, Astana managed to overtake Moscow, Warsaw and Rome in the Smart Centres Index ranking. The main criteria for evaluating cities were: Innovation Support, Creative Intensity, Delivery Capability of technologies.

The purpose of these rankings is to help investors, governments and regulators track the attractiveness of cities as technology hubs for new technologies, investments and products by measuring their regulatory system, level of innovations, science, technologies, energy systems, machine learning, security and fintech development.
