Eurasia Cities Are Renewing Their Vehicle Fleets. The Focus Is on Ecology

Krasnodar has received 60 new trolleybuses. All trolleybuses are air-conditioned and equipped with a variety of systems, including passenger accounting, Talking City, automatic fire extinguishing, video surveillance and floor level reduction on the entrance side. The new electric transport produced by BKM Holding has been purchased at the expense of the regional and local budgets.

In addition, 16 new electric buses “Volgabus” will arrive in Krasnodar by the end of the year, and 8 charging stations are planned to be installed in early December. Low-floor electric buses are equipped with air conditioners, terminals for contactless fare payment, USB-connectors for charging electronic devices and an information board. The transport moves almost silently.

The first electric buses “KAMAZ-6282” are arriving in Perm. These are modern vehicles of a large class, with a capacity of up to 85 people, with the possibility of ultra-fast charging from stations with the help of a semi-pantograph - from 10 to 20 minutes, adapted for operation at ambient temperatures from -40 to +40 °С. The electric buses are also low-floor and equipped with all necessary equipment, including video panels in the cabin and outside, ramp, doors with passenger activation function, Wi-Fi, etc.

In addition, the vehicles are equipped with the AVAS system, which is an acoustic vehicle announcement system for low-noise vehicles, in particular for electric vehicles. It creates a sound imitating the sound of an internal combustion engine at low speeds to inform road users of the vehicle's approach.

A pilot project to introduce eco-taxis is currently being successfully implemented in Bishkek. This initiative has become a model of successful cooperation between Bishkek and private sector. During the implementation of this project, a significant number of passengers have used eco-friendly taxi services, which emphasizes the growing interest in clean and sustainable transport in the capital city. In order to expand cooperation and meet the needs of citizens, 120 modern and environmentally friendly electric vehicles are planned to be additionally introduced by the end of this year, with a further increase.
