Children from China will Study in the Krasnoyarsk School

A delegation of children from Manchuria arrived in the city of Krasnoyarsk. Within a week children from China will live in the families of pupils of the Krasnoyarsk gymnasium. This is the only school in the city where children learn Chinese. The guests will get acquainted with the Krasnoyarsk sights and the life of Russian people. Children will attend classes and visit a summer camp.

Earlier, Krasnoyarsk children visited the city of Manchuria, found out lots of interesting facts about the Chinese culture and saw a modern appearance of the country. The visit of the Krasnoyarsk delegation took place within the framework of the Agreement on cooperation between the administration of the city of Krasnoyarsk and the People's Government of the city of Manchuria.

The program of the visit to China included a sightseeing tour and museums. The delegation visited the world-famous Botanic Garden and attended calligraphy classes. Within the framework of the visit, a concert of children's art groups of two cities took place.

In order to expand cultural, educational and economic ties, the heads of Russia and China declared 2018 and 2019 the years of cooperation between the regions of two countries. Manchuria is considered one of the most "Russian" cities in China. The symbol of the city is the matryoshka, recorded in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest in the world. Its height is 30 meters. There three sides on its surface where Russian, Chinese and Mongolian girls are painted. This is a symbol of the friendship between three countries.
