Krasnodar Is the Best City in the Country

The Forbes magazine has published a rating of cities with the most comfortable and promising conditions for entrepreneurs. More than 90 Russian have taken part in it.

Krasnodar has scored the most points in total (64,6) having become the leader in the “Demographics and Housing” category by a large margin. Next in line is Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (60,9), which has showed the best results in three categories at once: “Investments and Infrastructure”, “Small and Medium-sized business” and “Incomes”. Tyumen (59,5) has ranked third with the highest score in the “Quality of Life” category.

The rating does not include the cities of federal significance, such as Moscow and St. Petersburg, as well as cities of the Moscow Region. The participants have been evaluated according to six criteria: “Personnel”, “Investments and Infrastructure”, “Small and Medium-sized Business”, “Demographics and Housing”, “Incomes” and “Quality of Life”.

Data and surveys from the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Business Russia, “OPORA RUSSIA”, portals "Platform OFD", Headhunter and Urban Environment Quality Index have been used during the compilation of the ranking.
