The mayor of Bishkek Isa Omurkulov had a meeting with the head of Permanent Delegation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Kyrgyzstan

The mayor of Bishkek Isa Omurkulov had a meeting with the head of Permanent Delegation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Kyrgyzstan Larisa Manastyrli.

During the meeting they discussed issues of joint municipal projects. In particular, the problems of improving the water supply system of the city of Bishkek and the development of public transport were discussed.

During the conversation, Larisa Manastyrli said that in the last two years EBRD had intensified its work with Bishkek aimed at improving the provision of public services to the citizens. She added that at the present time similar projects are implemented in Osh and Jalal-Abad oblasts of Kyrgyzstan: "EBRD offers support to the republic of Kyrgyzstan in the form of a specially designed program for the country's municipal infrastructure development for 2012 - 2014".

The mayor of Bishkek Isa Omurkulov in his turn noted that in addition to issues of provision of drinking water and public transport it is also necessary to solve the problem of outdoor lighting.

As a result of the dialogue further negotiations on detailed discussion of the proposed projects have been scheduled.
