Muslim Huchiev, Mayor of Grozny was re-elected for the second term

18 of January the Board of Deputies of Grozny elected a new mayor by open vote. Among the candidates were former mayor of Grozny Muslim Huchiev and head of department for industry, transport and communications Sultan Malsagov

According to the press service of Grozny, 19 members of the 22 voted for M. Huchiev. The contract for urban governance was signed with M. Huchiev  for 5 years.

Ramzan Kadyrov, Head of the Chechen Republic participated in the meeting of the Grozny Deputies Council. He identified the main objectives of the capital.

"We have to do a lot of work. We have done a lot, but we should do more to became Grozny even more beautiful. Is necessary to improve the living conditions of citizens, to create an environment for comfortable and secure life in the capital," - said Kadyrov.

M. Huchiev stated in his speech that he would make all their knowledge and experience to justify the trust placed in him.

"I want to assure Grozny residents that all of my work will be aimed at improving their welfare, whether it be issues of housing, construction, communications, roads and much of what is needed for a high degree of activity of the city of Grozny. I'll try to make our capital the most beautiful, well maintained and comfortable for all who live here, and for those who visit ", - assured M. Huchiev.

Also the head of republic noted the need to create "new thinking, where each resident of the capital will hurt not only for maintaining order and cleanliness in their own homes, but also on their street, in his district, in the city."

"We have built a new city, a new life. We need new thinking. Every resident should understand that  everything done - it's our common heritage, the future of our children, which should be  protected and multiplied by each of the inhabitants of the republic," - said Kadyrov.
