“Smart bus stops” are built in Novosibirsk

Recently, the third “smart bus stop” was opened in the city of Novosibirsk. The know-how made by Novosibirsk developers includes cameras, free Wi-Fi, phone charging, an interactive information board displaying the arrival time of passenger transport using the GLONASS data.

The project “smart bus stops” became one of the winners of the open contest “125 ideas for Novosibirsk” initiated by Anatoly Lokot, Mayor of Novosibirsk. The open contest was dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the city. The first “smart bus stop” appeared last spring.

The uniqueness of the project is that the bus stop is equipped with an artificial intelligence system that responds to a voice request about finding a particular building. Also, it may inform how to get to this building with help of the button “search”.

The Ice Hockey World Junior Championships is planned to take place in Novosibirsk in 2023. And “smart bus stops” may be set up in any language.
