The delegation from Khabarovsk paid a three-day working visit (from 1 to 3 March) to Udmurtia. The main purpose of the trip was to get acquainted with the federal project “Parks of Russia” and its successful practices, in particular, the project “Izhevsk Parks”. The meeting was attended by Alexander Prokhorets and Evgeny Solovyev, deputy mayors of Khabarovsk, Oleg Bekmemetyev, Mayor of Izhevsk, and Sergey Butorin, Head of the project “Parks of Russia”.
The first day of the visit took place in Kirov Park, where there is a helipad, a fanzone, aquaglamping, the "Bloggers' House", a dinopark and other entertainment. On the second day, a round table was held. The guests were able to discuss all their questions regarding the improvement practices of parks and squares, implemented in the capital of Udmurtia. Tours around significant places of Udmurtia were organized for the Khabarovsk delegation, as well as the "Smart City" project was presented.
It should be noted that the federal project “Parks of Russia” was launched in 2018. Its goal is qualitative development, and creation of new and comfortable public spaces for people. The key practice of the project is JSC “Izhevsk Parks” that in 2022 became the winner of the “Golden Pony” International Award and received the main prize for achievements in modernizing urban parks.
