VI International Forum of the Best Municipal Practices organized by the Union of Russian Cities, the sister organization of UCLG-Eurasia, took place in the city of Chelyabinsk. The forum was held on August 15-17, 2019 and brought together more than 250 delegates from different cities of Russia, South Korea, Romania, Moldova, Serbia and Kyrgyzstan.

Within the framework of the forum, awards for the best municipal practices in the various nominations were handed. Thus, the project of Perm “Perm International Marathon” received the award as the best municipal practice in the nomination “Human capital. Demography and Healthcare”.

Novosibirsk became the winner in the thematic section “Human capital. Science and Education” with the project “Formation of a system of documents on strategic planning as an integrated mechanism for improving the quality of citizens’ lives”.

In the nomination “Human capital. Living Heritage” the city of Khabarovsk was awarded for the best practice “Modern Look at Classics. The tale-ballet of Pyotr Tchaikovsky “The Nutcracker”.

Kazan became the winner in the nomination “Economic growth. Digital economy” with the project “Information and analytical system “Municipal services management”.
