Stavropol and Zhenjiang (China) have become twin cities

An official delegation of the city of Stavropol led by the head of Stavropol G.S.Kolyagin visited the city of Zhenjiang (China) on 19-21 December, 2012. The delegation included the head of the Committee for Economic Development of Stavropol city administration A.A.Ereschenko, director of “Nanotechnology Agropromstroy+” A.V.Kostanyan.

During the visit the sides signed an agreement to establish friendly twin relations between the two cities. A discussion of promising areas of cooperation and further development of inter-community relations took place in friendly atmosphere.

The delegation visited Economic Development Zone of Zhenjiang. The sides discussed mutual cooperation in the field of socio-economic development of the cities. A preliminary agreement on the construction of a joint Sino-Russian company producing solar batteries on the territory of Stavropol was reached. The prospects of cooperation between Regional Industrial Park “North-West” of Stavropol and the Economic Development Zone of Zhenjiang were set as well.

The delegation of Stavropol found the visit to one of the largest universities of China Jiangsu particularly interesting. The sides discussed aspects of cooperation between higher education institutions of the twin cities.
