Tatarstan Has Adopted the National Action Strategy for Women

Tatarstan has adopted the action plan for the implementation of the National Action Strategy for Women in 2023-2026. This document is directly related to reaching the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and makes a significant contribution to their achievement, in particular, SDGs 3.1, 3.7, 5.5, 5.6 and others.

The plan contains measures to prevent social disadvantage of women, preserve health, increase the role of women in the development of society and create conditions for civic engagement.

In addition, the authorities are going to create a school of reproductive health on the basis of the “Children’s Republican Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan” in 2023-2026. It is also planned to increase the availability of geriatric care and create conditions for elderly care.

Additional education programs will be organized for women with babies. The plan includes the trainings “Mom is an Entrepreneur”, “Women’s Entrepreneurship”, as well as the popularization of traditional values and raising the prestige of the family.
