Eurasia Regional Section of the World organization "United Cities and Local Governments"
On the occasion of the 380th anniversary of the capital city, Ulaanbaatar International Day was organized on October 21-22, 2019. Secretary General of UCLG-Eurasia Rasikh Sagitov took part in the official ceremony and told about the experience of the city of Kazan, where he headquarters of UCLG-Eurasia is based, on developing international cooperation.
“Kazan is one of the largest industrial, economic, cultural, scientific, sports and tourist centers of Russia. The city actively develops international relations, hosts high-level international events and is the headquarters of the sections of two international organizations at once: UCLG and OWHC”, Rasikh Sagitov noted in his speech.
At the event, diplomats, representatives of international organizations and sister cities of Ulaanbaatar discussed the capital’s historical development, pressing issues, solutions and further cooperation.
Over 70 delegates from 15 cities including Russian cities of Moscow, Novosibirsk, Kazan, Irkutsk, and Ulan-Ude, Chinese cities of Chengdu and Jilin, South Korean cities of Seoul, Busan, Incheon, and Namyangju, Thai city of Bangkok, Japanese city of Miyakonojo, and Kazakhstani city of Nur-sultan attended the event.
