Aims and purposes

The main purpose of UCLG-Eurasia is to coordinate the activities of UCLG-Eurasia members, as well as to represent and protect common interests, in order to achieve the goals specified in our Charter.  

The objectives of UCLG-Eurasia also include:

1) development and increasing the efficiency of inter-municipal and inter-regional cooperation, strengthening the positions of UCLG-Eurasia members in the international arena;

2) promotion of integration processes in the Eurasia space, as well as unity and cooperation of the UCLG-Eurasia members;

3) expansion of external relations of UCLG-Eurasia members, development of city diplomacy and increasing the efficiency of inter-municipal and inter-regional cooperation;

4) representing the interests of UCLG-Eurasia members at international events; 

5) promoting openness, resilience and sustainable development of cities and settlements;

6) exchange of experience and implementation in the common interest of joint projects and programs that contribute to solving urban problems and achieving sustainable development;

7) exchange of best practices, discussion of urban development issues and ways of their solution, development of joint approaches and recommendations on various spheres of urban life support.
