Council of UCLG Eurasia

The Regional Council is a collective constantly operating body. President of the Regional section in accordance with his position heads the Regional Council. Meeting of the Council held once two years.

The Regional Council has the following functions:

establishing the Regional section executive bodies, their prescheduled cessation, and accepting the documents regulating internal the Regional section activity (i.e. the internal documents of the Regional section);

accepting the annual report and the annual balance sheet;

accepting the Regional section financial plan, and making changes into the plan;

establishing sections and launching the Regional section representatives;

participating in other organizations;

solving other questions connected to the Regional section organization and its activity.

The Regional Council session is competent, if there are more than half of its members present. The decisions of the Regional Council are accepted by the majority of present members votes. The Regional Council decisions concerning items 7.10.1 to 7.10.5 of Statute are accepted by 2/3 of members present.
